Thanksgiving 2023 Stringed Music Presentation

Due to several illnesses among our family of churches, the Community Thanksgiving Service for 2023 had to be canceled. 

However, Jacob and Pastor Cynthia Gray agreed to video record and share their special music presentation intended for that particular service.

Good Friday 2022 Way of the Cross Service

We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you: Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world." We invite to listen and reflect on the Way of the Cross Service, Good Friday 2022, provided by the churches of Cowan Ministerial Association. This year's service was hosted by the Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Way of the Cross liturgy follows the events leading up to the crucifixion and death of Jesus.

Join us for this dramatic recollection of a dark and dreary time of trial for our Lord and Savior.

2021 Cowan Community Thanksgiving Service

The various churches in Cowan, Tennessee gathered on Sunday evening, November 21, 2021, for a time of thankfulness and praise. We were hosted by Cowan First Baptist Church.

Join us as Rev. Joshua Konrad, Pastor of Abundant Life Assembly of God, was our speaker for this year's service. Join us as he gives us a special word and reflection. The Community Thanksgiving Service, sponsored by Cowan Ministerial Association, is a tradition in Cowan for more than six decades. Happy Thanksgiving!


A Thanksgiving Medley

The various churches in Cowan, Tennessee gathered on Sunday evening, November 21, 2021, for a time of thankfulness and praise. We were hosted by Cowan First Baptist Church and our speaker was Pastor Josh Konrad from Abundant Life Assembly of God.. As part of the service, Rev. Cynthia Gray and Jacob "Rooster" Gray shared a medley of favorite Thanksgiving hymns. Join us now for this moment of music and song. Good Friday Way of the Cross Service

The various Cowan churches gathered on Good Friday, April 2, 2021, for a Community Good Friday Service. This year's service was hosted by St. Agnes' Episcopal Church.

The Way of the Cross liturgy follows the events leading up to the crucifixion and death of Jesus.

Join us for this dramatic recollection of a dark and dreary time of trial for our Lord and Savior.


Maundy Thursday Sermon, 2021

Maundy Thursday recalls Jesus' Last Supper in the Upper Room with the Disciples on the night before his arrest and crucifixion. The service is based on events recorded in John 13: 1-15 and in Luke 22: 14-20.
