July 20: Hamburger Supper at Goshen, 5 to 7 p.m. (date corrected)

(Date corrected) The largest get-together in Williams Cove is the July 20th Hamburger Supper at Goshen!
Come over between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for freshly grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, all the fixin's, sides, and homemade desserts.
There's no price for joining us. We simply have a donation box at the door to benefit the missionary work of the local women's group.
Goshen is located at 1260 Williams Cove Road (between Cowan and Winchester).

August 3: Back to School Bash, Cowan First Baptist, 5 to 7 pm

The summer months have flown by and the new school year is just around the corner!
To help distribute school supplies, Cowan First Baptist Church in Cowan is hosting a Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 3rd, 5 to 7 p.m. Admission is free and hotdogs will be served.
To support this project, we welcome donations of school supplies! Our goal is to distribute 100 packets! Please refer to the list provided by Franklin County Board of Education when deciding what you would like to donate. The list is available at: www.fcstn.net/supplylists
Donations can be dropped off at Cowan First Baptist Church on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, (July 29, 30 or 31) between 9 am and 3 pm. For more information, call the church office at (931) 967-7506.

August 9, 10 & 11: Revival and Homecoming at Goshen
Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold our annual revival meeting on Friday and Saturday, August 9th and 10th, at 6 p.m. This year's theme will be "A Closer Walk With God" led by Rev. Jim Butler of Leitchfield, Kentucky. Special music will be provided by John and Dana Young of South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
All are invited to join us. The revival meetings at Goshen represent a long tradition dating back to Franklin County's first brush arbor meeting in the Year 1807.
On Sunday, August 11th, the Goshen congregation will host our annual homecoming. We will gather for worship at 11 a.m. and then serve a meal afterward. Goshen is located at 1270 Williams Cove Road between Cowan and Winchester.

August 11: Pastoral Visit of the Bishop of Tennessee, St. Agnes', 11 a.m.

St. Agnes' Episcopal Church in Cowan will welcome The Right Rev'd John C. Bauerschmidt, the 11th Bishop of Tennessee, for a pastoral visit on Sunday, August 11th, 2024.
Bishop John will lead a service of the Word and Sacrament at the 11 o'clock hour. Lunch will be served afterward in the parish hall.
The Bishop of Tennessee oversees 45 congregations and several affiliated ministries and educational institutions in the Middle Tennessee region.
St. Agnes' is located at 105 England St. East in Cowan.

Mission House Ministries in Cowan is pleased to host The Table on Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 3 to 7 p.m.
The Table is for anyone in the community to enjoy a pleasant meal in the fellowship of others. This ministry is also a great opportunity for any local congregation, Sunday school class, youth group, or auxiliary to serve the needs of others.
The Table is located in the upstairs area of The Mission House at 106 Rogers St. in Cowan.
