September 29: Singing Festival, 5:30 p.m. at Goshen
All are invited to an evening of song and praise!
Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold a congregational singing plus an offering of song from two special guests: Charles Holcomb and Sunday Perkins.

Cowan First Church of the Nazarene invites you to a new custom deeply rooted in our Appalachian tradition!
Join us for a 5th Sunday Singspiration at 6 p.m.
We will sing a variety of gospel and revival songs plus other favorites. The more participants, the greater the sound!

October 4: Day of St. Francis Blessing of the Animals, St. Agnes', 5 p.m.
Weather permitting, St. Agnes' will hold a Day of St. Francis Blessing of the Animals on Friday, October 4th, 5 p.m. on the church lawn.
This will be a short prayer service and each pet owner will receive a St. Francis/St. Anthony pendant. We will also receive an offering to benefit Franklin County Animal Harbor.
We ask that all pets be on a leash or in a carrier and be under the safe control of their owners at all times.

St. Agnes' is located at 105 England St. East in Cowan.

October 27th: Homecoming at Cowan C.P. Church
This is your special invitation to visit Cowan Cumberland Presbyterian Church for a special time of worship on Sunday, October 27th, at 11 o'clock.
We are celebrating 10 years under the care and ministry of Brother Ronnie Pittenger. This will hold a festival service with special music and a meal to be served afterward.

October 27: Annual Meeting of the Duck River Baptist Association
Cowan First Baptist Church will host the October 27th Annual Meeting of the Duck River Baptist Association, and all are invited to join us! This year's theme will be "Exhausted but still in pursuit" led by Dr. Jeff Iorg, 8th President and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee.
Session One begins at 4 p.m., a meal is served at 5:30 p.m., and Session Two begins at 6:30 p.m.

November 2: Town-wide Chili Cook-off and Family Night event
Bring your best recipe and wake up your taste buds! Cowan First Baptist Church will host an evening of family recreation on the front lawn of the church with a chili supper and cook-off contest.

November 24: Community Thanksgiving Service, 5:30 p.m.
"Come Ye Thankful People Come" to the Cowan Community Thanksgiving Service!
The service is planned for Sunday evening, November 24th, 5:30 p.m. at Cowan Fellowship Church. The speaker for the service will be Pastor Joshua Konrad, and the host church will lead in music and song.

November 28: Community Thanksgiving Dinner at The Table, 12 noon
The Table in Cowan will provide a Community Thanksgiving Meal on Thursday, November 28th, at 12 noon. We are eager to serve all who are in need of a comforting meal and joyful fellowship on this very special day. The Table is located upstairs at 106 Rogers Street in Cowan.
Join us at The Table on Fridays and Saturdays!
Mission House Ministries in Cowan is pleased to host The Table on Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Table is for anyone in the community to enjoy a pleasant meal in the fellowship of others. This ministry is also a great opportunity for any local congregation, Sunday school class, youth group, or auxiliary to serve the needs of others.
